How do I enter?
You can upload your audition (audio or video) either via the website, or by downloading our iPhone app and following the on-screen instructions.
How do I win?
Each week there will be two finalists chosen from the auditions available. One finalist will be chosen by our panel of judges and one by the public vote - so send your video to as many friends as you can to get them to vote for you! There will be ten weeks of finalists, giving us 20 finalists to choose a winner from.
What are the Break into recommendations or acceptable file requirements for my audition?
Your videos must not larger than 10MB and must be in one of the following file formats:
.flv - VP6 Flash video
.3g2 - 3GP for CDSM phones
.3gp -3GP for GSM phones
.asf - Streaming format for Windows Media Player
.avi - Windows video format
.dv - Digital video
.mov - QuickTime multimedia format
.mp4, .f4v - H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10), MPEG-4 Part 14
.mpeg - MPEG-1, MPEG-2
.mpg - MPEG-1, MPEG-2
.qt - QuickTime video
.wmv - Windows Media Video
What is not allowed in my audition?
Your audition should not contain any background music, though you can play an instrument if you wish. Please do not use any profanity and/or inappropriate gestures or your video will not make it on to the site. For more information, please check out our Terms & Conditions.
How long should my audition video be?
Your audition should be no longer than 2 minutes.
What can I do to make my audition stand out?
- Introduce yourself at the beginning of your audition video
- Add some details about yourself within the short description box when you upload your video
- Remember this is a competition; if it takes a few tries to get it right then do it, make sure your happy with your final audition video
- Finally, remember to smile!
My video is not on the site, why is this?
Once you upload your audition it will be reviewed by our panel of judges. If you make the cut, your audition will appear on the site. You will be notified if your video is not suitable.
How many times can I audition?
You can audition as many times as you like to try to impress the judges. Once you upload your video it will be reviewed by our panel of judges. If you make the cut, your video will appear on the site.
How do I get people to vote for me?
You can either send the link of your audition to your friends, or share your audition via your social network sites. Details of how to do this are contained on your personal Profile page.
