This joint promotion is only open to persons aged 18 years old or over who are residents of the United Kingdom.

This joint promotion is not open to employees, agents, or directors of Monster Worldwide Limited ("Monster") and to GTI Ltd (“GTI”) collectively the ‘Promoters’, the subcontractors of the Promoters, or anyone else connected with this promotion or any members of any such person's family.  Monster reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.

All participants in this promotion are required to agree to these Terms and Conditions.  By entering this promotion you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


BREAK INTO MUSIC COMPEITION

To qualify for this competition, entrants must fill in their details on the official competition website http://www.breakinto.co.uk  (the “Break into Website”) and then proceed to register information requested and upload a song entry in accordance with the requirements set out below.   Only one email address per one username signup is allowed.  Any entrant found to be abusing this will have their entry or entries removed and will be restricted from the site.

The Competition opens on 24th May 2010 and the closing date for all entries for is midnight, Friday 13th August 2010 

Entries cannot be made after the closing date.

No purchase is necessary.

No responsibility can be accepted for entries, invites, acceptances, tickets or other documentation lost or delayed in transmission whether by post, email or otherwise.

The Promoters accept no responsibility for damage or loss resulting from misdirected or incomplete entries arising from computer malfunctions, viruses, bugs or other such causes.  The Promoters are in no way liable for the reproduction or indirect access via third party website or home page access which reproduction mistakes or omits any of the information or Terms and Conditions connected with this promotion.

THE ENTRY

To qualify as a valid entry, entrants should note that all video songs entries submitted (the “Entry”):

  1. Must be sung in English only;
  2. Must be in either (i) acapella form; or (ii) with an accompanying musical instrument played by the entrant;
  3. May not include vocal background music or instrumental version of the song;
  4. May not include audio customisation including, for example, adding echo or additional background music;
  5. Must not include any material which is defamatory, offensive or obscene (including without limitation any nudity) or which may, in Monster’s judgment, cause annoyance or inconvenience or anxiety to any person including, without limitation, any obscene, racist, sexist, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, vulgar or abusive material or content; and
  6. Must  have a maximum uploading size of 10MB per video.

If an Entry includes multiple performers (in addition to the entrant), the entrant must ensure that all performers have provided their consented to the clip being used in this promotion.

Monster reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse or reject any Entry as it sees fit, without any obligation to give reasons or explanations for the decision.

The entrant retains all ownership of the Entry.  By submitting the Entry the entrant agrees to provide the Promoters with an irrevocable, royalty-free, perpetual, fully paid up, non-exclusive and worldwide license to use, copy, reproduce, publish, perform, display and distribute the Entry on the Break into Website as well as in promotional videos, news articles and on other social media venues such as Facebook and YouTube for the purpose of promoting the Competition and the Break into Website.

By submitting the Entry, entrants warrant that the Entry is their own work and the entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoters from any third party claims, actions or demands arising or resulting from infringement or alleged infringement of any intellectual property rights with respect to the Entry.  If the entrant wishes to remove the Entry from the Break into Website, it must contact Monster in writing who will remove the Entry from the site as quickly as possible.

THE PRIZE

The winner will be announced on the Break Into Website within 3 days of the close of the competition.

The winner will be entitled to record a music single with GTI including the creation of an accompanying music video, to be released through GTI’s record label ‘Kaboosh Records’ on iTunes and other music download websites in the UK, on terms and conditions to be decided in the Promoters absolute discretion.  GTI will select the original song for recording and will ensure that the song is recorded and produced to a professional commercial standard and will be responsible for the promotion and release of the single.

GENERAL

Successful applicants of this promotion may be requested to take part in the publicity of this promotion.  By participating in this promotion, you grant Monster and GTI permission to use your name and likeness for advertising and future promotional purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited).

The Promoters reserve the right to cancel or amend the terms of this promotion, without notice, at its discretion.

The Promoters reserve the right to substitute a prize for an alternative prize of equal or greater value.  Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.

Promotional materials form part of these Terms and Conditions.  This promotion will be governed by English law. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions the promotional materials, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
